Measure 26-151 Fails!

Clean Water Portland

Clean Water Portland

Residents of Portland have once again, shot down a measure that would have required water fluoridation. Without the broad support that the city council had promised, this measure becomes the fourth of it’s kind to fail, since 1956. Not only did this measure fail, it failed miserably: 60.5% NO to 39.4% YES

Because Gresham was one of more than a dozen communities being deprived of consent, residents here are especially ecstatic that Measure 26-151 was defeated. Occupy Gresham would like to thank everyone who supported the Clean Water Portland campaign. Without your tireless efforts, this may not have been possible. Our right to consent has been preserved, and we have the CWP volunteers to thank!

With this distraction out of the way, let’s get back to fighting against our common foes.
